**NOTE - this was an extremely annoying blog to set up so I apologize for it's poor formatting. Also, I have no idea why the last paragraph is underlined.**
I hate that hair has to look similar everyday. Even if it looks good everyday, it gets boring. My hair is kinda versitile in that I can do fancy up-do, simple up-do, curly and straight but, since it's the hair that I was born with, I am obligated to hate it. I haven't even seen my 'natural' color in over 5 years!
My hair usually undergoes it's most dramatic changes after breaking up with someone. Hopefully that won't be happening anytime soon, so I need to find another reason to be occasionally drastic with it. I'm leaning towards "Because I thought this would look cool," and "Because I wanted to," as my reasonings.
Either way, here is a brief list of hairstyles that I want to sport:
Dreadlocks:
I love dreadlocks. Especially 'white girl dreadlocks' (as pictured). They're so filthy, nasty, dirty... I LOVE IT! I don't know what my fascination with dreadlocks is... but I just love how they look. There's this girl that comes into WaWa with some wicked neat dreads. They are a lot of hard work to get started and near impossible to get out without either severely damaging or completely chopping off your hair. Those are probably the two biggest reasons I haven't opted for this hairstyle; difficulty and time in starting, the shaven head after.

Mohawks:
What young lad or lass hasn't seen a punk rock kid walking through the mall with a big, obnoxious mohawk and thought to themselves, "If only I had the balls to look that ridiculous... ?" I'm not necessarily after a huge one, but I do like mohawks on women. With faces that can pull them off. I think one of the girls on America's Next Top Model had a short hair cut that normally found itself shaped into mohawk-esque style. I like hers. I also enjoy how just the sight of a mohawk pisses some people off.

Braids (the kind black ladies have):
I think these hairstyle appeals to me because I don't see it as too different from dreads. Just... instead of teasing, knotting and scuzzying up your hair, you sit in a chair for hours and hours with hands yanking mercilessly on your hair to create these tiny miracles. They don't frizz. Or kink. Or knot. Lot's of problems us white girls have with our non-braided hair. Oh, and my style must be completed with the beads. So it makes noise when I move my head.

African American Hair in General:
White girl hair is so lame compared to African American hair. They can pull off the dreaded and braided look with much more success AND have the option of fro's, crazy extensions, tight curls, super straight and beehive-esque appearances with out any support from inside. It's like putty and I do love putty. Admit it... how many times were you jealous as a youngster because the little black girls had millions of colorful berets in their hair that clicked together when they ran across the playground? Too many times.

Looooooooooong Hair:
Of course I'd love to have 75lbs of hair trailing down my back and blowing in the wind! Ok, so maybe hair as long as in the picture is a little... extreme... but long hair that doesn't look like shit is sexy. Straight or wavey looks best I think (curly hair looks like a triangle. I hate it.). I consider "loooooong" hair to be at fall at least to the elbow. I think hair starts to look ridiculous and shapeless after that. Unless it's really thick and super healthy. Then maybe longer would be ok.

Short and Funky:
If I were skinnier and didn't have such a weird looking face, I would have TOOOOOTALLY had hair like this by now. I love the style-ability and the ease-of-use of a hair cut like this. Unfortunately... My hair gets scraggley when it's long and I look stupid when it's short... I guess I'm doomed to be medium-length for the rest of my life...

Two Toned:
As much as I can appreciate natural, beautiful hair, I looove the look of obviously fake. I don't know why. A two toned color scheme (similar to one shown below) is something that I would love to have grace my oddly shaped head. Unfortunately, this is another instance in which I think I would just look stupid because my wardrobe and attitude wouldn't match the 'do. Plus I'm not sophisticated and polished enough. I have had (and may soon be returning to) the red on my top layers and the black on my lower layers... but that's as adventurous as I've gotten. Oh well...
