Oooooooh my goodness I don't even know what to write. I'd like to write about everything that happened in Rhode Island... but that would be an exceptionally long post... and I don't have the attention span to write that much (nor, I imagine, would most people have the attention span to read that much). So... I think I'll just highlight:
- It is awesome to see water, water everywhere. I love the ocean (who doesn't). Matt's house has a cove for a back yard. No lie.
- Newport was beautiful. The houses, the restaurants, the yachts... everything is just awesome.
- New Years was low key and absolutely wonderful. It consisted of three no-drama couples, a lot of Wii, a lot of poker, and tons of wine and beer. (Other) Matt's mom also made us delicious little appetizers to snack on all night long. The cold weather outside made me feel cozy and glad to be inside while the company couldn't have been beat.
- Matt and Matt went running into the ocean with dozens of other crazy people on New Years Day. Priceless.
- Even though it was below 10 degree's most of the time, we still got to visit the beaches.
- We were chauffered around by Matt and Sam was our tour guide in Newport.
- We ate great food all three days (I'm a foodie... I get excited about such things).
- We got to visit a winery for me and a brewery for Wes. I got my wine, he got his beer.
- Everyone we were around were guinely nice.
- SNOW!!!
Wes and I are pretty dead-set on moving to New England in the future. I think we've grown rather fond of Rhode Island. I can't wait to go back in the summer months!!!
